RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Coast Guard crews are continuing their search for a swimmer who went missing off Singer Island in rough seas.
The Palm Beach Post reports the man went missing Saturday after diving in to help two 10-year-old girls knocked into the water by a wave.
Several adults jumped in but one did not emerge.
Dive teams, boats and helicopters searched for the man but were not able to locate him. The search resumed on Sunday.
Coast Guard cutters and a search crew on a 45-foot boat are out looking for the man. Officials have not released his name.
Singer Island is located near Riviera Beach, which is just north of West Palm Beach.
