Search continues for missing Taylor County woman

PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) - Deputies in Taylor County are asking for your help in finding a missing 82-year-old woman who wandered away from her home yesterday.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office says that on Monday, Patsy Butler, 82, walked away from her Perry home on 15350 Fiddlers Way. 

They say that she went missing around 1:30 p.m.

Butler is described as an 82-year-old woman about  4-foot-11 tall, weighing around 82 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing cutoff jeans with no shoes, with an unknown description of shirt.

Deputies, Perry PD, along with FWC and DOC have been searching since the time she was reported missing. They say local volunteers are also assisting along with a local pilot, L.S. Turner.

On Wednesday, deputies say they, county employees and local volunteers began searching the area near Yates Creek.
