TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Meet today's Leon County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer of the Day: Deputy Stephen Bess.
Deputy Bess is being recognized for his work at Heritage Trails Community.
He spent 14 years working on the correctional side of things before becoming a deputy.
Deputy Bess says his favorite part of his job is "working with school staff as a team to accomplish our mission, which is to help our students achieve their goals."
Off duty, he loves to fish, swim, go boating, and hunt.
