TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Meet today's Leon County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer of the Day: Deputy Thomas Stege.
Stege - recognized for his work at Leon High School on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 - has worked 27 years in law enforcement.
What does he like most about his assignment? "Interacting with the students and helping them grow into adults," he says.
Now that he's close to retirement, he's looking forward to spending more time outdoors. He enjoys saltwater fishing and hunting.
