TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Meet the Leon County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer of the Day: Deputy Paul Emmons.
Emmons is recognized for his work at Chiles High School on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017. He has worked 23 years in law enforcement, a profession he joined because "I loved the excitement and being able to help people!"
His favorite school subject was history, and his favorite part of his job is "working with the students. They keep me young."
If the Dothan, AL, native weren't a deputy, Emmons said, he would have become a football or softball coach.
Off duty, he enjoys playing softball and golfing.
