TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Meet the Leon County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer of the Day: Charrone Reed.

Reed is recognized for her work at Sabal Palm and Pineview Elementary Schools on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017. She has worked 24.5 years in law enforcement.

To Kill a Mockingbird is her favorite movie, Superman is her favorite superhero, and red is her favorite color.

Food? Her favorite is "My dad's home cooked southern fried chicken." If she had not become a deputy, food might have played a role in her earning a living. She'd like to have owned a restaurant.

She's a deputy because the profession is honorable and rewarding.

Away from work, Reed enjoys camping, traveling, reading and landscaping. Sometimes she likes to crochet baby blankets.
