TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Meet the Leon County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer of the Day: Deputy Alan Wilson.
Wilson is recognized for his work at James S. Rickards High School
on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. He has worked 22 years in law enforcement.
"Since I was a little kid, law enforcement was what I always wanted to do," he said. "I always played the cop in Cops and Robbers."
At Rickards, the Tallahassee native's best part of his job is interacting with students and their parents.
Hulk is his favorite superhero, and purple is his favorite color.
Although he doesn't like to read, he said, one of his favorite school subjects was English literature. He also like physical education, and had he not become a deputy would like to have been a fireman or football coach.
The year 1987 is a time he'd like to travel back to, a period when he was a sophomore in high school. "I would make better grades, train harder for football and leave those girls alone!" he said.
