GADSDEN COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A crash in Gadsden County Thursday involved a school bus and resulted in a driver facing a careless driving charge.
The Florida Highway Patrol says that around noon, 51-year-old Jeffrey Dykes was driving south on State Road 267 approaching County Road 65B while 72-year-old Richard Alcott was driving behind him.
According to FHP, Dykes was slowing down to turn left when Alcott was unable to slow down in time before hitting the back of Dykes' 2002 Chevy Silverado.
After the impact, FHP says that Alcott continued southwest, where he then collided with a school bus.
In a report, officers say that there were only three people on the school bus, and none were injured.
Alcott and Dykes were not injured, according to the report.
FHP says that Alcott is facing a careless driving charge.
