School Board Investigate Violent Threats at Wakulla High School

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - School administrators in Wakulla County say that they found no evidence of a violent threat at Wakulla High School.

Jim Griner with Safety and Risk Management said that Wakulla High School administration received information late Monday afternoon of the possibility of violence to be perpetrated by students at Wakulla High School.

An investigation was immediately started by the Wakulla High School administration and the School Resource Officer. 

The investigation has so far uncovered no evidence to substantiate the threat.

They said that student conversations on social media added to the frenzy created by the threat.

The Wakulla County School Board and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office say that they are continuing to be on watch and monitor the situation.
