SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - All 5 Suwannee County Fire Rescue will be doubled staffed starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 to prepare for Hurricane Irma.
SCDR wants to let the public know, if winds reach 45 mph, units will not respond to emergencies for the protection of the crews. If you are in need of assistance during when winds are high units will respond once the winds have dropped below 45 mph.
If you believe you are not safe in your home move to a shelter now. Evacuating during the storm IS NOT SAFE.
