SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A Savannah woman has been indicted on murder charges in the drowning deaths of her two young daughters.

The Savannah Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/1YMvhaz ) a Chatham County grand jury returned indictments Tuesday against 26-year-old Jokeera Viola Morgan. Her daughters - ages seven months and 18 months - were found dead at her home Oct. 6.

Savannah police detective Askisi Baker testified during a preliminary court hearing last month that Morgan told police she drowned her girls in a plastic tub because she "felt she couldn't take care of them." The mother then called 911 and told an operator what she had done.

The children's father, Jerrel West, told police Morgan suffered from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and said he was trying to get help for her.
