Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on Wednesday.
The launch comes months after Samsung's worldwide recall of its Galaxy Note 7.
Users reported Note 7's overheating, catching on fire and even exploding.
Samsung initially blamed faulty batteries, but some experts believe a design flaw was to blame for the problems.
The recall wiped out billions of dollars of profits and hurt Samsung's brand.
The new S8 phones are bigger than the Galaxy S7 and have curved screens that flow onto the sides.
One thing missing is a physical home button.
It's also the first phone to feature Samsung's new virtual assistant, Bixby. Pre-orders on the phone open Thursday and shipping starts April 21.
