Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued a statement Tuesday announcing new his assignments in the 115th Congress.
Rubio will now serve on the following five subcommittees:
· Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies
· Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies
· Legislative Branch
· Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies
· State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs
Regarding his new role, Rubio states, "These assignments will better position my office to serve Floridians even more effectively, particularly as it relates to our state’s military bases, rebuilding our national defense, serving our veterans, safeguarding our nation’s food supply, and advancing our foreign policy interests around the world."
