JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A 39-year-old woman has been hospitalized in serious condition after her car ran into a multiple trees and overturned twice near the Florida-Georgia Line.

The crash happened Tuesday morning around 10:10 a.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that Shaquandra Davis, 39, was driving north on U.S. Highway 221 near Windom Road when, for unknown reasons, her 2012 Ford Explorer crossed the southbound lane.

Davis' car drove into the grass shoulder and hit a tree before overturning two times. As the car completed the second roll, troopers say Davis' car hit another tree and finally came to a stop.

Davis was transported to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

Troopers say charges are pending investigation. It is unknown if the crash was alcohol related.
