TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's National Appreciation Day, and to celebrate, Leon County Schools Superintendent Rocky Hanna visited area schools.
Hanna delivered candy to every teacher in the district Tuesday.
He says it's just a small token of appreciation for all the teachers do for the community. Hanna also made an appearance at the Leon County commissioners meeting to recognize the teachers in Leon County.
He wanted to show that he understands the impact teachers have especially on their students:
