NEW YORK - Robert De Niro has reversed field and pulled the plug on an anti-vaccination documentary he had planned to show at his Tribeca Film Festival next month.
At first, De Niro defended the decision to include the movie, which claims vaccines are linked to autism. But after coming under fire for including the film, De Niro has had a change of heart about "Vaxxed."
De Niro has a child with autism. He has said he hoped the film would spark conversation around the issue. But after reviewing the film, he said the documentary doesn't provide the kind of discussion he had hoped for.
