WASHINGTON (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is turning down a request from Hillary Clinton's campaign to extend the state's voter registration deadline.
The deadline for Floridians to register is next Tuesday.
The Clinton campaign says the deadline should be pushed back because Hurricane Matthew is threatening to wreak havoc on the state.
But Scott, a Republican, says "everyone has had a lot of time to register" and he doesn't intend to make any changes.
