TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Governor Rick Scott has made it easier for those affected by Hurricane Matthew to get financial support with the activation of the Florida Disaster Fund.
Governor Scott activated the state's private fund on Monday. The money is intended to help Florida's damaged communities as they recover.
“Many families and businesses were impacted by Hurricane Matthew, and we are fully committed to ensuring every resource is available to help them. Activating the Florida Disaster Fund will give individuals across the country the opportunity to help those in need as we begin the recovery process following this storm," said Governor Scott, "I continue to encourage all Floridians to look out for each other and work together to help our beautiful communities rebuild."
