TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - With just two days until Christmas, last minute shoppers are now in crunch time.
Residents were out and about Friday finishing up their holiday shopping.
WTXL stopped by a local shop at the Centre of Tallahassee and talked with a few shoppers.
All of them were still trying to find those perfect presents and hoping to benefit from last minute deals.
Many say they just could not find the time between work and other responsibilities to get out the door and do their shopping.
"I took my last day off of work to get the last minute stocking stuffers and things done before the weekend starts," said Jo Roland, who was out in the Capital City shopping. "There's deals and usually markdowns before Christmas and basically I procrastinated, because work comes before pleasure unfortunately."
According to the National Retail Federation, the biggest shopping day of the year so far was December 17th, with about 156 million people hitting the stores on "Super Saturday."
Thanksgiving weekend by comparison drew about 154 million Americans to stores in search of seasonal deals and the best holiday presents.
