Resident of a Gainesville Group Home Charged with Battery

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A resident of a Gainesville group home has been charged with aggravated battery after authorities say she attacked another resident and bit off parts of two of his fingers.

The Gainesville Sun reports the woman punched the 89-year-old man several times during an unprovoked attack before biting off the ends of two of his fingers.

The woman is charged with aggravated battery on a person age 65 or older.
