TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State quarterback James Blackman may be exploring his options after starting the process of putting his name in the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from Noles247.
Noles247 reports that Blackman filed to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday, though it could take up to two days for his name to show up.
Despite the news, this doesn't mean that Blackman is intending to leave FSU. The transfer portal allows schools to contact players without restriction and gives players the chance to explore their options.
The sophomore started 12 games in 2017 after Deondre Francois was injured and ranked third in the country in passing yards by a freshman.
