TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Seventeen years ago from today, 19 men hijacked four airplanes and carried out attacks in New York City's World Trade, the Pentagon in D.C. and the United Airlines Flight 93 crash in Pennsylvania.

Thousands of people lost their lives that tragic day in history.

You can join in on a remembrance walk Tuesday morning.

Premiere Health and Fitness is inviting the entire community to join them Tuesday morning at 8:30.

At 8:46, there will be a moment of silence, and then the trek to Maclay Gardens begins.

This is the sixth year that the group has held the walk.

"We feel like it's something that the community wants, and our members want here," said Lee Harvey, executive director of Premier Fitness. "I think it's a time that we'll never forget in our country, and so we'd like to respect that day, and that time, and the events that happened."
