TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - One Tallahassee woman is using this Thanksgiving as way to give back despite a recent tragedy in her family.
Vanessa Henry is the great aunt of Tiffany Nance. Nance was murdered back in April.
In light of her recent tragedy, Henry decided to give back to her community for Thanksgiving.
"I've been in their shoes. I've walked in their shoes before. I've been homeless with my children in the past year prior to moving here," said Henry, "which is what brought us back here. And unfortunately, my boys' biological mother was brutally murdered here."
Henry says this isn't a one time thing. She tries to feed the homeless twice a day Monday through Friday.
