TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Red Hills Farm Alliance's 11th annual Tomato Festival took place Sunday.
People who attended were able to eat tomatoes and locally grown produce from more than 60 different area farmers.
This is the organization's biggest fundraiser. Members say they want to use fresh food to bring the community together.
"There are really a tremendous number of local farmers that are growing some great food right in our own backyard and you can get it online, go to the farmers market, and we just want to make people aware," said Cari Roth, Chairman of Red Hills Farm Alliance.
The event went on until 8 p.m. Sunday and there was an ugliest and biggest tomato contest.
