TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) – The Red Cross Capital Area Chapter needs your help recruiting volunteers. They announced details for the 3rd Annual Rural County Summit."
The event will have presenters from around the country that assisted in relief efforts during the Moore, Oklahoma tornado, West, Texas explosion and other national tragedies. They will give details on why it's so important to become a Red Cross volunteer.
Sharon Tyler, the local Red Cross chapter’s CEO says, “I think the push for volunteers is more important this year, they're pushing it more. But i think it's because, we're more aware of our need for it, especially in our rural counties."
The summit is being held July 9th through the 12th at the Public Safety Building in Tallahassee.
