MACON, GA. (WTXL) -- A rally was held Friday for Kendrick Johnson. Community members came together in Macon to rally in front of the Georgia State Attorney's office.
Almost two years ago the 17-year-old’s body was found rolled-up in a gym mat at Lowndes High School. Nobody has been charged in this case and Attorney Benjamin Cump said the family wants action, “We want to see something happen and that's why these community leaders are here to say we want something to happen.”
An initial autopsy ruled Johnson’s death as an accident. However, his family commissioned a second autopsy and that report says he died from “apparent non-accidental blunt force trauma.”
