TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Making Awesome is keeping a closer eye on its materials after some equipment went missing two weeks ago.
For the past two years, the organization has been based in Railroad Square, encouraging the community to get involved in innovative projects.
Recently, some of its equipment -- much of it donated -- has gone missing, prompting the company to take extra precautions about monitoring their space.
Right now, access is limited to members-only, except for Wednesdays and open houses.
Making Awesome will install cameras this week, but co-founder Brad Harris says they're not just for surveillance.
"We're actually going to post the video streams from those cameras online, so that members can actually go on to our website and see who's at the space, see what's going on, see if a lot of people are there, see if the 3D printers are busy, for example, and see if anybody's working on some cool projects," Harris said. "That's one of the neat things we do. We don't like to just put cameras in just for surveillance. We like to make it a little value-added for our members, so they can see what's going on."
The company says it's missing some stereo equipment, some speakers and some older generation gaming equipment. If you know where these items are, Making Awesome wants to hear from you at (850) 564-6253.
