Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - Quincy police say that a 15-year-old and 20-year-old man have been arrested in Leon County in connection to the murder of a teen who was shot and killed in Gadsden County.

The Quincy Police Department said 19-year-old Kentrell Thomas was shot and killed at the Gadsden Arms Apartments Sunday night.

When officers arrived to scene, they found Thomas lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. They said that he later died.

They say after the incident 20-year-old Mark Williams and a 15-year-old minor left the scene but were later arrested in Leon County where they are currently being held.

Williams is facing charges for 2nd degree murder, while the minor is being detained at the Leon County Juvenile Assessment Center pending formal charges.

No word on a motive behind the shooting.

Authorities say once they've gotten the proper warrants both suspects will be brought to Gadsden County to face charges.

Quincy police said that this is an active and ongoing murder investigation. They are asking anyone with information to contact Captain Robert Mixson of the Quincy Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at (850) 637-0138.
