Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--Quincy officials now teaching residents the importance of motorcycle safety.
The department teamed up with Riders Advantage Motorcycle Academy this morning to discuss ways motorcycle riders can stay safe on the roadways.
According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles,
There were 449 motorcycle deaths in 2013.
Officials today, stressed the importance of wearing a helmet as well as encouraging riders to follow the rules of the road.
A basic riding course is required in order to get a motorcycle license.
