QUINCY, Fla.-- About a hundred kids learned about bicycle safety during Quincy Police Department's annual bike rodeo.
Every child that attended got to go home with a helmet. Quincy Police Department also partnered with Wal Mart and local churches to give away ten bicycles.
Officer Glen Sapp says they hope the event will encourage kids to stay safe this summer.
"We want every kid in Quincy to be involved, to have a mentor if possible, and be involved in a club or a group," said Officer Sapp, "that will keep them busy and keep their focus on academics, reading and being successful."
