Quincy, Fla. (WTXL) -- A suspect is now in custody after a 33-year-old woman was found murdered in her home Tuesday night.
On Tuesday, Quincy police responded to a home on W. Clark Street, after family members requested a welfare check.
While officers were checking the home, a family member broke a window to get inside house. Police say that is when Gregory Sapp Jr. jumped out of another window and ran into a wooded area.
It only took Lt. Eric Howell and his K-9 partner Figo 15 minutes to track the suspect, according to officers.
Police said they also found two kids who were being held captive in the home. The body of Keyonda Collier was also found inside the home.
Police said that Sapp Jr. confessed to the murder and has been booked on charges of homicide and false imprisonment. Police believe that the suspect and Collier were in a relationship and may have may have been staying together.
