QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Quincy man has been arrested, accused of pouring gasoline on himself, his wife and his infant child and threatening to set them all on fire. 

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office says that they had been called out to a  home in the Robertsville Community Friday morning about a man assaulting his wife.

An investigation revealed that Edward Britt, 35, poured gasoline on himself, his wife and infant child and threatened to set them all on fire. 

Luckily, his wife was able to knock the lighter out of Britt's hand. After that, Britt ran away.

The Gadsden  County Sheriff's Office's K-9 unit, Gadsden County Criminal Investigations Division, Liberty County Department of Corrections K-9 unit, Florida Highway patrol and the Leon County Air support all assisted and were able to track Edward Britt and apprehend him.

He is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder and booked into the Gadsden County Jail.
