Quincy man arrested in Jackson County faces Leon County warrant

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Quincy man was arrested after a verbal disturbance with his sister led to law enforcement finding out he had an active warrant from Leon County.  

Craig Jackson, 25, was arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office on Sunday. 

On Sunday at about 3:46 p.m., deputies received a 911 call from a cell phone. Deputies were unable to get an active response from the caller but was able to hear a verbal disturbance from the phone. 

Deputies say the context of the call was Jackson demanding money from his sister and they were sent to a possible strong armed robbery in progress. 

When deputies arrived on scene it was determined to be a verbal disturbance between Jackson and his sister.  

Deputies found that Jackson has an active warrant from Leon County for grand theft after stealing a TV and TV mount from a Walmart in Tallahassee. 

Jackson was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance and extradition.
