QUINCY, FL (WTXL) - Police say a man was arrested in Quincy after breaking into his estranged wife's house with a gun.
John Macklin was arrested for multiple charges on Monday and booked in the Gadsden County Jail.
Officers with the Quincy Police Department say they received a call about a man with a gun breaking into a house on the 2100 block of Kennedy Lane around 2 p.m.
The victim told police that Macklin was her estranged husband who she is currently divorcing.
She went on to tell police he came to the home and chased her inside. She tried to lock him out but he kicked the door in.
Police say Macklin pulled a gun on the victim and her friend, stole a cell phone, and fled.
Macklin was found by authorities later in the day on South Atlanta Street. The gun was also located by police.
Macklin is charged with armed burglary with a firearm. aggravated assault with a firearm (domestic), armed robbery, larceny, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and violation of a domestic violence injunction.
