Man arrested after tracking device leads law enforcement to stolen car

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Quincy man who stole a car at New Leaf Market and drove away was soon caught with help from the Leon County Sheriff's Office helicopter and a tracking device.

Quintaryous D. Burgess, 18, stole the car Monday at 12 p.m., the Tallahassee Police Department said on Facebook.

The victim was buying lunch at New Leaf Market when Burgess reportedly got into her car and drove away.

TPD officers arrested Burgess on Monday as he was parked on Basin Street.

He was booked into the Leon County Detention Center on a $4,500 bond. 

He faces charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle, resisting officer without violence, and carrying an unlicensed concealed weapon.
