QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL)--The interim Quincy police chief awards two scholarships to high school seniors.
The winners are Crystal Powell and Camarion Hale, both graduating seniors from East Gadsden High School.
Both plan to attend Florida State University in the fall majoring in civil engineering and psychology.
Chief Glenn Sapp decided to personally fund the scholarships to help students in need. The scholarships are $300 each.
Some of the requirements to apply for the scholarships included submitting an essay on why they should receive the scholarship and community service projects they completed.
