QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - Saturday, dozens took to the street in Quincy for a faith-based clean-up day.
The hope, making Quincy a better place to live.
The mayor, police officers, firefighters and dozens more walked through neighborhoods on foot, cleaning up trash and making repairs.
"I want it to be a safe place for us to raise our children, and to live and to age in. I don't want anyone to be afraid of living in District 2," said Angela Sapp, Mayor of Quincy. "I encourage the people who live in the district to come out to our meetings and talk about some of the things that are going on and to make District 2 a great place to live again."
In addition to a clean up, they also hosted a community health fair and picnic.
The event is held every year and Mayor Sapp says it keeps getting bigger and better.
