UPDATE: Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville Georgia is reporting George Kochaniec in good condition after wreaking his car Monday night.
Kochaniec was transported to the hospital after flipping his car into a ditch on County Road 149 in Jefferson County.
Troopers are saying this accident was alcohol related and that it is under investigation.
Kochaniec is a Pulitzer Prize Winner.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, FL. (WTXL) -- A person is in critical condition after a car crash Monday night at 9 p.m. on County Road 149 in Jefferson County.
Florida Highway Patrol says, George Kochaniec of Monticello, FL drifted off the highway and hit an embankment causing the car to then rollover.
Troopers said that while the vehicle was rolling over, Kochaniec was ejected into a ditch.
The driver was rushed to Archbold Hospital to receive medical attention for critical injuries.
FHP, says this accident is alcohol related and Kochaniec was not wearing a seatbelt. Charges are pending.
