JACKSONVILLE, FL(ABC) - Federal prosecutors have responded to two motions Thursday in the legal case against former Congresswoman Corrine Brown.
According to the ABC News affiliate in Jacksonville, one motion is to oppose Brown's request to have the 18 counts she was convicted of thrown out and another to deny a request for a new trial.
In their response to her acquittal request, prosecutors say quote, "the defendant's motion outright ignores the extensive proof that the defendant intentionally participated in a three-year scheme."
A sentencing trial date has not been set.
