TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--A fertilizer plant is one step closer to making a home in Taylor County.

City council members in Perry voted last week to provide collateral on a $5 million  line of credit.

The West Palm Beach-based BioNitrogen says it will use the money in part to purchase the land.

The company says the cost of the project is $300 dollars. During the 18-month construction process, more than 250 jobs will be created.

There will be more than 50 permanent jobs. A construction start date has not yet been set.
