SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the death of an inmate in Suwannee County.
Fifty-seven-year-old Michael Gross died Thursday at the Suwannee Correction Institution Annex. He was serving a more than four year sentence for failing to comply with state sex offender registration laws in Pinellas County back in 2011.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. FDLE says this is an open and active criminal investigation. No other details are being released.
