TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee Police Department calls the holidays a perfect storm for thieves who like to steal packages and items in the homes.
Officer Dave Northway says to double check your windows and doors, making sure they are locked. Police say thieves are keeping them really busy this time of year. They see an uptick in the activity.
They also provided some prevention tips for people in the area.
They advised that you have a trusted neighbor check on your house and don't keep items, particularly expensive ones, in plain-sight in your car.
