LEON Co., FL (WTXL) - The National Forest Service is asking drivers to use caution when driving in the Leon Sinks area on Thursday due to smoke from controlled burns.
Officials say 904 acres are being burned Thursday around the Leon Sinks Recreation Area on the Apalachicola National Forest.
Drivers are asked to drive slowly with lights on when going through smoky areas.
Officials also note that trails in the area are closed.
