LEVY CO., Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is advising drivers to be on the lookout for smokey conditions near Waccasassa Bay Preserve State Park in Levy County, Florida. It's from a 10 acre prescribed burn. It may affect portions of State Road 24 and other local county roadways in the area of Cedar Key.
According to FHP, visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke/fog type
conditions especially during the night time and early morning hours. They say motorists are reminded to reduce their speed and utilize
low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.
