FLORIDA (WTXL) - For safety purposes, on Sunday, Sept. 10 at approximately 10 a.m. Talquin Electric will begin de-energizing and pulling meters along the coast in Shell Point, Spring Creek, and Live Oak Island.
The shut down will be occurring in areas, where flooding is expected.
"Everything is always changing. The weather, you can never predict it," said Mariel Green with Talquin Electric. "The winds that are blowing, our linemen cannot go out there and get in the bucket trucks until the wings and things have died down, until it's safe and so the biggest thing for us is to make sure everything is safe."
These areas are currently under mandatory evacuation. Please remember when you come to standing water, turn around don't drown.
