BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A power outage interrupts a high school football game after a driver crashes into a power pole in Bainbridge.
It happened Friday night on Shotwell Street. The two vehicle crash knocked over a power pole, causing all lanes of Shotwell Street to be closed for an hour.
Officers say one driver was driving without headlights, and fled the scene after the crash. That driver shortly returned to the scene.
Georgia Power was able to restore the power allowing the nearby football game to proceed. However, Bainbridge Public Safety says only temporary repairs were made to the lights and power pole.
