BEN HILL COUNTY, GA (WTXL) - Investigators said that the man they originally believed was responsible for nine building fires in Valdosta has been arrested.
State Fire Marshal’s Office investigators said that Ben Hill County Sheriff's Office received a tip that Benjamin Wilcox was hiding out in a empty home.
Once they took Wilcox into custody, they called in the State Fire Marshals to interview Wilcox.
After the interview, officials said that he was taken to the Ben Hill County Jail on a probation violation charge.
Wilcox is waiting to be transported back to Lowndes County where arson charges are pending.
