TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Officials are warning of possible smoke on roads near the Apalachicola National Forest.
According to the Forest Service, an unexpected wind shift may cause smoke on State Road 20 and other nearby roadways Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
They say there may also be smoke on I-10 between Tallahassee and Panama City.
"Motorists are cautioned to drive slowly with lights on while traveling in smoky areas," says Forest Service officials. "Drivers should be particularly cautious in areas where it is foggy. Morning and evening fog can mix with smoke and decrease visibility further."
