TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - State troopers said there are pending charges against the driver of the pickup truck that hit Linda Fisher and her 18-year-old daughter Sophia.
It happened just before 8 a.m Saturday in Tift County.
Officials said the mother, Linda Fisher, is stable at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She had minor injuries from the crash.
Georgia State Patrol trooper said the driver of the truck has agreed to blood and urine tests.
Charges are pending based on the results of that test, and the Special Crash Reconstruction Team's investigation.
Troopers said the truck hit Sophia and her mother from behind, while they were riding bikes.
GSP said Sophia died on the scene.
They are still investigating whether or not the driver's speed had anything to do with the crash.
Troopers tell us the bicyclists were in their proper lane, and both were wearing helmets.
