TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol is designating a portion of I-10 in honor of a fallen trooper today.
The Florida Legislature designated a portion of I-10, between mile marker 232 and 233* in jefferson county as "Trooper James Herbert Fulford, Jr. Memorial Highway".
Trooper Fulford was killed in the line of duty on February 1, 1992. Members from Jefferson county sheriff's office, Madison county sheriff's office, and others will gather at First Baptist church in Monticello for the designation ceremony.
